2011 CalABA Award for Leadership in Advocacy
Greg Wagner, PhD California Department of Developmental Services Friday Luncheon, Feb. 18 • 12:45 p.m. (more info.) CalABA's Leadership in Advocacy Award is presented to an outstanding individual who has exhibited exceptional leadership and advocacy skills in promoting behavior analysis by affecting policy, regulation, and/or legislation aligned with CalABA's mission and goals. Dr. Wagner's work in the state of California has provided substantial benefits to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. His efforts have resulted in improved access to high quality behavior analytic intervention by those who are in need of such services. In addition, he has done outstanding work in helping the State of California recognize the importance of the BACB credentials in serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Dr. Wagner received a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. He was a Fellow at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and Johns Hopkins University Medical School. Greg has given numerous conference presentations, and published articles and book chapters on behavior analysis and developmental disabilities. He has worked in several states, in a variety of roles, and retired in December after serving for 19 years as Senior Supervising Psychologist for the California Department of Developmental Services. Greg is a Past-President of CalABA. This award will be presented at the Conference Luncheon on Friday. Be sure to pre-register for the luncheon to make sure you have a seat for this event, as it is expected to sell out quickly. |
