This family is part of the Regional Center Self-determination program. If you are not familiar with this program, I can describe it on a phone call. Families with autistic adults have a budget, and they can spend the money how they wish. Hiring their own professionals. We are in need of a BCBA for a 29-year-old severely autistic adult. He is nonverbal and does have some male adaptive behaviors with some sensory-seeking behaviors. It is a better use of the budget to hire directly than to go thru an agency as they take a big cut of the $$ that goes to the BCBA. Please call me so Ic an explain this.
I hope you can help.
We are currently looking for fun, creative, and responsible individuals who have at least 1 year of experience in the field and who thrive in a team environment working with adults with autism and their families.
