This information is current as of Friday, January 28, 2022, but may be updated closer to the conference as conditions change. Currently Santa Clara County requires wearing a well-fitting mask indoors in public and non-public indoor settings, regardless of their vaccination status, which includes all CalABA conference events. You may remove your mask while actively eating or drinking, but please put it back on when finished.
CalABA is facilitating measures that seek to ensure optimal health and sanitary conditions in all environments where in-person interactions take place during the conference. To assist in ensuring the safety of all attendees and exhibitors CalABA will be requiring all attendees and exhibit booth personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their attendance. In cases where an attendee or exhibitor has a valid medical or religious exemption, a negative PCR COVID-19 test within 48 hours of arrival to the convention center will be required. In addition, all attendees and exhibitor booth personnel will be required to wear a mask while in the convention center and, Exhibit Hall except when eating, drinking, or presenting. CalABA is relying on the diligence of our membership in making these requests and appreciates your cooperation to ensure a safe (and long overdue!) experience for our community. When you attend the conference, you will also notice that seating will be farther apart to allow physical distancing. The Santa Clara Hyatt and Santa Clara Convention Center have complete lists of their updated COVID-19 protocols and practices here.
We will continue to closely monitor all guidelines and regulations and will update these safety protocols as appropriate. Attendees, staff, exhibitors, exhibitor appointed contractors, vendors and members of the labor force should stay home if they have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for their COVID-19 test results, have COVID-19 symptoms, or if they have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has symptoms of COVID-19.
Testing must be conducted within one day for an antigen test and within two days for a PCR test prior to entry into an event. Per County guidance and Santa Clara Convention Center policy medical exemptions will be accepted only when accompanied by proof signed by a medical doctor. Religious exemptions are not acceptable without prior written consent from the Convention Center.
