The UMBC Psychology department offers doctoral programs in Applied Developmental Psychology and Human Services Psychology, including tracks in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited), Behavioral Medicine, and Community Psychology (https://psychology.umbc.edu/). UMBC is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as a Research University with high research activity (RU/H). It is located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor near major medical schools and federal research institutes that afford rich opportunities for research collaboration (e.g., the Kennedy Krieger Institute; University of Maryland, Baltimore).

Job Description + Responsibilities

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Department of Psychology expects to make a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in Applied Behavior Analysis beginning in August 2019. We seek a scientist-practitioner committed to research and teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels who will participate actively in our BACB Verified Course Sequence, and ABAI Accredited Master’s Degree Track in Applied Behavior Analysis. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong potential for attracting external funding, a strong commitment to research and teaching, and dedication to inclusive excellence in higher education. Specialization within behavior analysis is open. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related discipline completed by August 22, 2019, and hold or be eligible for the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst credential.
