Founded in 1962, Child Study Center is a nonprofit, multidisciplinary organization located a short distance from both the cultural district and downtown Fort Worth, Texas. For 55 years, Child Study Center has been recognized as the regional center of excellence for children with complex developmental disabilities. In 2002, Child Study Center expanded its services by adding a behavior analysis department, which has benefited from the strong support of the center’s CEO and board of directors. Child Study Center currently employs seven BCBAs and two BCaBAs. Child Study Center also employs neuro-developmental and developmental behavioral pediatricians, licensed clinical psychologists, a licensed master social worker, and certified educators.

Job Description + Responsibilities

Child Study Center seeks to hire a full time behavior analyst to provide services to children with developmental disabilities. Duties of this position include overseeing a clinical caseload within an intensive behavioral intervention program that promotes acquisition of skills and treats severe behavior disorders.

• Qualified candidates have an opportunity to serve as adjunct faculty in the Department of Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas.

• Reimbursement of professional organization membership (e.g., ABAI, TxABA), conference attendance (registration, lodging, travel), and certification fees.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Conduct repertoire and functional assessments of children with autism.

• Develop skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs for children with autism.

• Train, monitor, and supervise staff, caregivers, teachers, and interns.

• Complete necessary documentation.

• Participate in Child Study Center committees as requested.

Other Requirements

Requirements:

• Ph.D. (preferred) or Master’s Degree in behavior analysis or closely-related field.

• Ability to work collaboratively with others.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience providing behavior analytic services to children with developmental disabilities.

• Maintain certification as a BCBA-D or BCBA.

• Supervisory experience.

• Excellent speaking, presenting, and writing skills.
