The California Autism Center and Learning Group (CACLG) is a world-class company in located in the heart of the Central Valley that provides high-quality services designed to positively change social and cognitive skills in children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and provide a new kind of hope to their families. At the CACLG, a compassionate team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Technicians aspire to unlock the potential of every client with one-on-one, customized ABA services in an exciting center-based environment. Each treatment center offers a warm and welcoming environment for our behavior intervention programs, parent seminars, and community education and whole family support. Currently, the CACLG has three treatment centers in Fresno and Merced and expanding in the Central Valley.
The California Autism Center and Learning Group provides progressive, empirically validated treatment for individuals up to 18 years of age with autism spectrum disorder. We have taken pieces of other models around the country to create a unique ABA-based curriculum. Our BCBAs work in a fast-paced, dynamic and often intense environment to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment to children diagnosed with language, communication, behavioral and developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Under the supervision of the Treatment Center Director, the full-time Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be responsible for providing direct supervision to the Clinical Assistants (CA) and Behavior Technicians (BT). The BCBA will employ and direct evidenced-based behavior analytic methodologies. The BCBA will provide direct and indirect services to clients. Billable hours will be assigned at the BCBA level.
Ensure ongoing data collection and analysis to inform appropriate program changes
Consult and collaborate with other BCBAs with clients when working with a situation outside of your area of expertise
Taking direction from Treatment Center Director and/or Clinical Director
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments on clients who are engaging in maladaptive behaviors
Manage initial and ongoing skills assessments including the ABLLS and other standardized tools in accordance with insurance policies
Write initial reports that coincide with skills assessment
Develop, train and oversee the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) to serve client needs
Supervise BTs and CAs to ensure that ABA methodology and procedures are being delivered with fidelity
Supervise intensive and comprehensive behavioral programs
Provide training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Clinical Assistants (CAs)
Support, and consultation with parents and care providers
Attend weekly and/or bi-weekly BCBA, staff development, and center meetings
Participate in interviewing and hiring new BTs and CAs
Overlap with staff to ensure treatment fidelity; review client progress skills checklist
Write and revise, as needed, reports for insurance companies
Ensures compliance with insurance requirements for session notes, treatment authorizations, SOAP notes, and RBT supervision requirements.
Collect, review and sign all session notes
Conduct client observations at the center, home, and school
Provide direct ABA therapy to individuals along the autism spectrum in the clinic, home and community setting as necessary.
Attend clients’ IEP meetings at the school as necessary
Participate in Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE) in the school setting when appropriate
Will conduct performance and competency reviews for CAs and BTs; provide respectful and helpful feedback to the CAs and BTs
May provide BACB supervision for BCBA candidates
Maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
Collaborate with professionals from other disciplines to best serve our clients
Demonstrate good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills with a variety of individuals and groups
Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality and follow BACB compliance codes and HIPAA regulations
