Job Description + Responsibilities

Provide behavioral consultation, parent training, and evidence based services to children receiving ABA therapy services at the Faces clinic, clients' homes, and schools.

Collaborate with other Clinical Supervisors to present quarterly staff training and presentations on autism and ABA throughout the community.

Review and develop functional behavior assessments, behavior plans and evidence-based interventions. Must be able to review and develop a system to collect behavioral data. Responsible for interpreting behavior data, monitoring progress, modifying programs, and on-going staff training as necessary.

Conduct direct observation of children's behavior and sufficiently track progress, presenting suitable data assessment for the condition.

Conduct assessments for potential clients and submit insurance paperwork as necessary; complete treatment plan updates as needed for each client (every 3, 6, or 12 months, depending on the funding source)

Maintain regular communication with clients' families and collaborate with other service providers (i.e. SLP, OT, school team members)

Provide supervision for staff members pursuing certification as RBTs/BCBAs/BCaBAs

Attend IEP meetings as necessary.

Clients' sessions are typically scheduled between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Opportunities for flexible hours and some evening and weekend work is also available.

Manageable client case load. Full-time Clinical Supervisors have 10-20 clients depending on the number of supervision hours needed for each client (between 100-120 billable hours per month), with time to work on administrative tasks during traditional working hours.

Other Requirements

License or Certification: BCBA, LCSW, and/or LMFT (if LCSW/LMFT, must already have ABA experience). Strong consideration will be given to applicants with a relevant Masters’ degree who have completed (or are near completion of) the requirements for the BCBA but have not yet sat for the exam.

Experience developing and administering behavior plans and skills development curricula for developmentally disabled children is essential

Experience in ABA programming with this population including traditional teaching methods (e.g., discrete trial training), naturalistic/incidental teaching, and the verbal behavior approach preferred.

Experience with using the VB-MAPP and adaptive behavior assessment tools (i.e. Vineland II)

Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, including reading, speaking, writing, listening, motivating, inspiring, collaborating, and delegating.

Self-starter and team player.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and follow-up with multiple, simultaneous projects.

Ability to regulate own schedule and monitor completion of monthly billable hours

Possess a valid California driver's license with a good driving record and provide proof of insurance.

Candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a clear DOJ and FBI clearance, clear physical health and TB test after a conditional offer has been accepted.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and or push at least 50lbs.

Must be able to physically bend, squat, reach over shoulders, reach overhead, reach outward, kneel, sit, walk on normal, slippery, or uneven surfaces and stand.

Drive to schools and homes as needed
