Manager Health Psychology Behavioral Health Treatment Pediatrics – Development (BCBA)
Oakland, California
Responsible for the development and management of the Behavioral Health Treatment/Applied Behavioral (ABA) program. Oversees staff operations. Serves as expert consultant to the Behavioral Health Treatment service line.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Develops programs and provides oversight to the operations specializing in Behavioral Health Treatment for members with Neurodevelopmental Conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder. As subject matter expert provides consultation and serves as liaison to providers and regional leaders which includes risk case reviews.
• Responsible for access, outcomes and allocation of resources for Behavioral Treatment services.
• Ensures Behavioral Health Treatment programs are well integrated in order to maintain a comprehensive, care coordinated system across departments as well as providers.
• Oversees the Behavioral Health Treatment services provided by external providers
• Evaluates and recommends improvements on current programs for members with Neurodevelopmental Conditions
• Participates in Regional Committees to address quality and utilization, appropriateness of therapeutic goals and need for ongoing intervention
• Manages a team of clinical and administrative staff. Responsible for the selection, training and development of staff. Performs employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and salary recommendations.
• Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis. Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience under the direction of a licensed psychologist or board certified psychiatrist.
• Ph.D, Psy.D, or Ed.D in clinical or counseling required from an accredited college or university.
• Psychologist License (California)
• National Provider Identifier required at hire
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and to utilize theories, principles, practices and methods of BHT/ABA
• Ability to develop programs based on current evidence
• Understanding of assessment, intervention and goal writing
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, experience managing a team of licensed staff, and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of state regulations with regard to ethics, treatment, patient rights and confidentiality
