Job Description + Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

The Program Assistant, under the general supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager, implements in-home/community-based intervention for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. This position will also support newly onboarded Behavior Interventionists as well as implement Behavior Interventionist Clinical Competency Checklists.

Job Responsibilities:

Travels to client’s home and other community settings, as required, to deliver services.

Provides Substitute Sessions 1-2 times per day (as capacity requires)

Responsible for meeting established minimum productivity requirement of billable time, and for providing efficient and effective service in all areas of performance.

Completes necessary documentation within required timeframe, including behavioral data collection and graphing, treatment notes, and other company-related documents and current ABA treatment plans for each client.

Provides client-related communication to caregivers and the program team as appropriate.

Attends staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings as requested.

Responsible to complete additional job duties as assigned by Supervisors.

Supports newly on boarded Behavior Interventionists meet their 90 Day competencies

Implements Behavior Interventionists Clinical Competency Checklists with identified Behavior Interventionists

Through the guidance of PS/CM will review and analyze data as assigned

After 6 months in Program Assistant position and having completed 12 units of the BCBA/BCaBA coursework will support H0032 Direct and Indirect work as directed by the Clinical Manager

After 6 months in Program Assistant Position will assist with Assessments as directed by Clinical Manager

Attaining and achieving position competencies in relation to role responsibilities

Position / Certification supervising this position

Currently enrolled in the BCBA/BCaBA coursework and has successfully completed 6 units of the coursework

Knowledge of methodologies found to benefit children with ASD preferred, including Applied Behavioral Analysis ("ABA"), Early Start Denver Model ("ESDM"), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children ("TEACCH"), Picture Exchange Communication System ("PECS"), and Pivotal Response Training ("PRT")

Previous experience providing education, coaching and support to families with children with autism spectrum disorders and/or related developmental disabilities a plus.

Other Requirements

Qualifications (Skills, Abilities, Licenses):

Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bi-lingual ability a plus.

Has 6 units of Applied Behavior Analysis units completed from an institution with the accreditation for BCaBA certification coursework

After 6 months completed 12 units of Applied Behavior Analysis coursework towards the BCaBA Certification

Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintain all HIPAA requirements.

Ability to appropriately interpret policies, procedures, and regulations of ESBA.

A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

Able to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.

Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/Microsoft processing software. Must be able to use an iPhone or work cell phone if applicable.

Able to travel to multiple work sites and client homes if needed. Reliable transportation needed.

Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice. The People & Performance department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws as well as fitness for position.

Must have valid California Driver’s License/insurance and maintain a clean driving record.

Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.

Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certificate.

Ability to obtain clearance through the Office of Inspector General
