As you can imagine, we've been in constant discussions with our Board of Directors, Conference Planning Team and other stakeholders regarding the coronavirus. Given the events of the last 48-hours we wanted to issue a formal statement regarding our conference. We are moving forward with the CalABA Conference next week at the Santa Clara Convention Center. BUT, we are offering refunds for any attendees who no longer want to attend. A copy of our formal statement is below. Please do not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions. We are deeply grateful for our community and are confident we'll be able to continue to partner together to ensure a positive, safe conference experience for everyone.
Formal Statement from CalABA Regarding the 38th Annual Western Regional Conference on Behavior Analysis and Coronavirus
The 38th Annual Western Regional Conference on Behavior Analysis is scheduled to occur March 6-8th at the Santa Clara Convention Center. CalABA has been in constant contact with our conference team and Board of Directors over the last few days regarding coronavirus.
The Santa Clara County Department of Health believes “immediate risk to the public remains low” but is also advising preparation for potential widespread transmission*. Given the rapidly changing circumstances regarding coronavirus, CalABA is suspending our current cancellation policy for the conference and will allow any attendee who does not want to attend our conference a full refund. Attendees can request a refund via the CalABA Conference Website - bit.ly/CalABA2020 or via email – [email protected].
Please allow us 30-days for your refund to be processed.
CalABA will continue to partner with all relevant parties and stakeholders to closely monitor any new developments related to coronavirus and will communicate with our community accordingly. We are dedicated to ensuring that all attendees at our conference have a positive and safe experience.
